What we teach

Psychology Tutoring

Research methods is the strand that decides psychology grades — it is examined across every paper, and it is the part students most often postpone.

We front-load research methods, then revisit it inside every topic: the studies make far more sense once a student can read a method critically, and evaluation stops being a list of memorised criticisms.

We cover A-Level psychology across the major boards, IB Psychology HL and SL, and AP Psychology.

In the lesson

What a lesson actually looks like

1

A diagnostic first lesson

The tutor works through a short set of problems to find where understanding actually breaks down — which is usually one or two topics earlier than the one causing trouble in class.

2

Teaching, then practice under exam conditions

Concepts are taught from first principles on the shared whiteboard, then applied to past-paper questions from the student's own board, timed and marked against the real mark scheme.

3

Feedback the student can act on

Each lesson ends with what went well, the specific technique to fix, and targeted practice before the next session. Parents get regular progress updates.

Psychology tutoring starts from USD 15 per hour. See all plans.

FAQ

Psychology tutoring — your questions

Is there a lot of maths in A-Level Psychology?

There is a required quantitative element — roughly a tenth of the marks — covering descriptive statistics, significance testing and choosing the right inferential test. It is very learnable, but it is not optional, and students who assumed psychology avoided maths need to know that early.

How should evaluation be revised?

As reusable arguments rather than per-study lists. Once a student can evaluate any study on method, sample, ethics and application, unfamiliar studies in the exam stop being a problem.
