What we teach

Geography Tutoring

Geography exams reward specificity: named places, real figures, actual dates. Students who answer in generalities cap out well below their understanding.

We build a small, well-chosen bank of case studies the student can genuinely recall under pressure, rather than a long list they half-remember — and we drill applying the same case study to several different question types.

Fieldwork and data skills get dedicated attention, since they appear in every specification and are the strand students most often leave to the last week.

In the lesson

What a lesson actually looks like

1

A diagnostic first lesson

The tutor works through a short set of problems to find where understanding actually breaks down — which is usually one or two topics earlier than the one causing trouble in class.

2

Teaching, then practice under exam conditions

Concepts are taught from first principles on the shared whiteboard, then applied to past-paper questions from the student's own board, timed and marked against the real mark scheme.

3

Feedback the student can act on

Each lesson ends with what went well, the specific technique to fix, and targeted practice before the next session. Parents get regular progress updates.

Geography tutoring starts from USD 15 per hour. See all plans.

FAQ

Geography tutoring — your questions

How many case studies does my child actually need?

Fewer than most students try to learn, known in far more detail. A handful of case studies with real names, figures and dates, each usable for several question types, beats a dozen vague ones every time.

Do you support the fieldwork write-up?

We teach the enquiry process — question, method, data presentation, analysis and evaluation — and can give feedback on the student's own approach. The independent investigation must be their own work under board rules.
