What we teach

Business Studies Tutoring

Business exams are won on application: the same theory, applied specifically to the case study in front of you, is the difference between a mid and a top band.

Lessons drill contextual application and the calculation strand — break-even, cash flow, ratios and investment appraisal — which students often treat as optional and examiners never do.

We tutor GCSE and IGCSE business, A-Level business, and IB Business Management HL and SL.

In the lesson

What a lesson actually looks like

1

A diagnostic first lesson

The tutor works through a short set of problems to find where understanding actually breaks down — which is usually one or two topics earlier than the one causing trouble in class.

2

Teaching, then practice under exam conditions

Concepts are taught from first principles on the shared whiteboard, then applied to past-paper questions from the student's own board, timed and marked against the real mark scheme.

3

Feedback the student can act on

Each lesson ends with what went well, the specific technique to fix, and targeted practice before the next session. Parents get regular progress updates.

Business Studies tutoring starts from USD 15 per hour. See all plans.

FAQ

Business Studies tutoring — your questions

What does 'application' actually mean in business exams?

Using the specific details of the case — its size, sector, market position and figures — inside the argument, not just naming the company. An answer that would read identically about any other business is a theory answer, and it is capped.

Do you cover the calculations?

Yes, and we treat them as core rather than as a side topic. Break-even, cash flow, ratios and investment appraisal are reliable marks that many students concede by default.
